Lakshmana, aged 45, had amassed wealth and power through a life marked by crime and violence. Notorious and feared, he had a rap sheet that included over 25 cases of murder, attempted murder, robbery, kidnapping, and land grabbing. But his criminal life was not the only facet of his existence.

Hidden beneath his ruthless exterior, Lakshmana harbored a disturbing infatuation for a 21-year-old girl named Varshini, who was pursuing post-graduate studies at the prestigious Cambridge University in the UK. Varshini, the daughter of Harish Sanjeevappa, alias Moote Harish, was a neighbor of Lakshmana.

The tensions in this twisted love triangle grew as Lakshmana's obsession deepened. He could not bear to see Varshini in love with another man, a fact that ignited an explosive jealousy within him. Harish, Varshini's father, was also deeply troubled by his daughter's choices and asked Lakshmana to intervene, urging him to keep Rupesh away from her.

To lure Lakshmana into the trap, Varshini devised a plan. She informed him that she would be returning to Bengaluru on March 7 and requested him to book a hotel room for their reunion. Obliging, Lakshmana made arrangements as Varshini had asked.
